Went to spin class again tonight - it was fun, but my legs are not so subtly trying to tell me that they are really glad that I’m taking tomorrow as a rest day and look forward to lounging around at the beach.  I’m going to try and spend some time tonight stretching and might break out the foam roller to make silly noises as I try and loosen up my calves and it band.

Went to the gym and did the spin class again tonight.  I’m really enjoying doing that class on my off days from running - it’s a nice change from the regular cardio I’ve been doing and I’m definitely getting a good workout while I’m doing it.

I’m also really enjoying the time off - it’s been so nice to not have to shoehorn workouts into my day and instead plan my day around getting to the gym or running (or both!).  I could get used to this, but unfortunately it will have to end at some point.  In the interim I’ll just enjoy it while I can :)

I decided that I was going to do my long run tomorrow morning and went to RPM class instead this morning - ouch. Man, my legs are definitely feeling the past week.  Eek.

Went to the spin class at the gym tonight - was the first one I’d done in a really, really, really long time so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Well, got a great workout and will be definitely going to more classes on my cross training days!

Enjoying summer break so far, been entirely too lazy though. Have I ton of things I “should” be doing and unfortunately aren’t getting done by themselves (darn it!). So I’m actually going to try and get my butt into gear this weekend and maybe get some stuff done around the house. Not the terribly exciting weekend I had envisioned (which never would have happened anyway), but one of those things that I just need to get done.

Headed out to the gym and did 45 minutes on the elliptical and then spent about 15 minutes using the foam roller and r-o-l-l-i-n-g out my legs.  I have really learned to heart the foam roller and how much it has helped my calves and i.t.-band.

I’d originally thought with my week off last week I would have gotten more done, but a friend came in from out of town and I ended up doing a lot less than I should have.  I had a great time though and probably not feeling even remotely as close to guilty as I should.

I’m pretty excited that this week I’ll be passing the 200 mile mark for miles run so far this year.  This time last year I would have looked at you funny if you even suggested that I could run that much.  But here I am… :)
